Submissions Guidelines

Want to submit your materials to Sixpence, Inc.?

Here are some basic guidelines to remember for all submissions to Sixpence, Inc.:

Always submit your best work in final form: well-proofed, spell-checked, and free from erasures and cross-outs. We will not read first rough drafts.

All submissions must be typewritten.

Use at least 12-point type.

Double-space.

Allow at least 1" margins all around.

Use one side only of 8.5" x 11" white paper.

Please limit your choice of fonts to the basics: Times New Roman, Arial, etc.

Please note: We do not accept e-mail or fax submissions, even of queries, or electronic versions of any kind.

If your manuscript is accepted, be prepared to submit the edited version on 3.5" floppy disks, or on CD-ROM, in Microsoft Word (or Final Draft, if a play script) format, if at all possible.

We do not accept simultaneous submissions.

Always include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) of appropriate size, with sufficient postage to cover the cost of return mail if you wish us to return your manuscript should we decline it.

You will never go wrong with us by sending a query (with SASE) first rather than a full manuscript.

Submissions and queries without a SASE will not be returned or answered.

We do not track receipt of submissions. If you would like confirmation that your materials have been received, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard with your submission. This postcard will be returned to you before your submission is evaluated, as proof that your submission was received.
Please be advised that Sixpence, Inc. evaluates all submissions we receive, and this evaluation process typically takes four months to six months from the date of submission.
